BLDE Association established BLDEA’S College of Nursing, Jamkhandi in the year 2022 with an annual intake of 40 students. The college is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bengaluru, and is recognized by the Government of Karnataka and the Karnataka State Nursing Council, Bengaluru.

The institute aims to provide students with a well-rounded nursing education by maintaining a proper balance between theory, practical training, and exposure to modern medical practices. Emphasis is placed on developing professional competence, ethical values, and a strong foundation in nursing skills.

Programmes Offered

B.Sc. Nursing

The B.Sc. Nursing program is a 4-year course that offers students a rigorous education in nursing. Candidates seeking admission should meet specific eligibility criteria, including age requirements and educational prerequisites. Additionally, students must pass an entrance examination and be medically fit for the program. With an intake capacity of 40 seats, the course aims to produce skilled nursing professionals who are well-equipped to provide quality healthcare services. The distribution of seats includes CET-based admissions and Institute Level Seats, ensuring a diverse and capable student body.

Parent–Teacher Meeting – B.Sc. Nursing Semesters I, III, V & VII – BLDEA'S College of Nursing 2026

BLDEA'S College of Nursing, Jamkhandi, organised a Parent–Teacher Meeting on June 10, 2026, for students of the First, Third, Fifth, and Seventh Semester B.Sc. Nursing programmes. The event was attended by Prof. S. H. Lagali, Administrative Officer, BLDE Association, and Dr. Veerabhadrappa G. M., Principal. Class Coordinators shared detailed academic progress reports and textbooks were distributed to college toppers.

Role Play on Tobacco & Alcohol Prevention at Kakanwadi Village – Fifth Semester B.Sc. Nursing 2026

On 6th June 2026, the Fifth Semester B.Sc. Nursing students of BLDEA'S College of Nursing, Jamkhandi, performed a role play at Kakanwadi Village as part of their Community Health Nursing activity. The role play covered the topics of Tobacco Prevention and Alcohol Prevention in a single performance, aiming to create awareness among villagers about the harmful effects of tobacco and alcohol use.

On 6th June 2026, the Seventh Semester B.Sc. Nursing students of BLDEA'S College of Nursing, Jamkhandi, performed a role play at Kakanwadi Village as part of their Community Health Nursing activity. The role play covered the topic of Drug Addiction, aiming to create awareness among villagers about the harmful effects of drug addiction, its prevention, and the importance of leading a healthy life free from substance abuse.

World Environment Day – Tree Plantation Programme at BLDE Campus 2026

On the occasion of World Environment Day, BLDEA'S College of Nursing, Jamkhandi, organised a Tree Plantation Programme at BLDE Campus, Jamkhandi, on 5th June 2026. Teaching faculty, non-teaching staff, and nursing students enthusiastically participated in the plantation drive, planting saplings and pledging to contribute towards a clean, green, and healthy environment.

School Health Programme at Govt. Primary School, Kakanwadi – Fifth Semester B.Sc. Nursing 2026

Fifth Semester B.Sc. Nursing students of BLDEA'S College of Nursing, Jamkhandi, conducted a School Health Programme at Government Primary School, Kakanwadi, on 5th June 2026. The programme included health screenings for 1st to 5th standard children covering height, weight, physical examination, dental health, nutritional status, and identification of anaemia, dental caries, skin infections, and worm infestation.

Health Education Programme at Govt. Primary School, Kakanwadi Village – 2026

Seventh Semester B.Sc. Nursing students of BLDEA'S College of Nursing, Jamkhandi, conducted a Health Education Programme at Government Primary School, Kakanwadi Village, on 5th June 2026 for students from 1st to 8th standard. Sessions covered personal hygiene, handwashing techniques with return demonstrations, environmental hygiene, snake bite first aid, drowning prevention, and menstrual hygiene education for adolescent girls.

Anganwadi Visit – Kakanawadi | Fifth & Seventh Semester B.Sc. Nursing Students 2026

Fifth Semester B.Sc. Nursing students of BLDEA'S College of Nursing, Jamkhandi, visited the Anganwadi Centre at Kakanawadi on 1st June 2026, followed by Seventh Semester students on 2nd June 2026. Mrs. Neelamma Gudodagi, Anganwadi Worker, provided orientation on population coverage, nutrition programmes, growth monitoring, immunization support, Bhagyalakshmi Scheme, and records maintenance, offering students practical exposure to grassroots-level community health services.

Educational Visit to Primary Health Centre (PHC), Konnur – Seventh Semester B.Sc. Nursing Students 2026

Seventh Semester B.Sc. Nursing students of BLDEA'S College of Nursing, Jamkhandi, visited the Primary Health Centre (PHC), Konnur, on 1st June 2026, as part of their Community Health Nursing curriculum. The visit included a comprehensive orientation by Mrs. Vijayalaxmi, Community Health Officer, covering PHC functions, staffing, National Health Programmes, and records maintenance, followed by hands-on exposure to OPD, Immunization Room, Laboratory, Pharmacy, and Labour Room.

The Seventh Semester B.Sc. Nursing students of BLDEA'S College of Nursing, Jamkhandi, visited Nirani Sugars Factory (MRN Group of Industries), Mudhol, on 27th May 2026 to gain practical exposure to occupational health hazards, industrial safety measures, and industrial work practices.

Psychiatric Clinical Posting at DIMHANS, Dharwad – Fifth Semester B.Sc. Nursing Students 2026

Fifth Semester B.Sc. Nursing students of BLDEA'S College of Nursing, Jamkhandi, successfully completed a 15-day Psychiatric Clinical Posting from 16th to 30th May 2026 at Dharwad Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (DIMHANS), Dharwad. Students gained hands-on experience in History Taking, Mental Status Examination, Case Presentations, ECT, Psychiatric Rehabilitation, De-addiction Services, and Therapeutic Activities including Music Therapy, Dance Therapy, and Health Education Sessions.
