BLDEA'S College of Nursing, Jamkhandi, organized a Guest Lecture on "Understanding Common Skin & Hair Problems: Prevention, Care & Healthy Lifestyle" on 7th August 2026.

The programme commenced with a welcome address and master of ceremonies by Ms. Sahana M. and Ms. Keerti B., Eighth Semester B.Sc. Nursing students, followed by the introduction of the guest speaker by Ms. Ashwini M., UG Nursing Tutor and Event Coordinator. The session was graced by Dr. Gouthami Kadlwad, MBBS, MD (Pediatrics), Fellowship in Aesthetics & Cosmetology, and began with the lighting of the lamp.

Dr. Gouthami Kadlwad delivered an informative lecture on common skin and hair problems, their prevention, healthy lifestyle practices, personal hygiene, nutrition, and the importance of early consultation for maintaining healthy skin and hair. An interactive question-and-answer session enabled students to clarify their doubts. In his presidential address, Principal Dr. Veerabhadrappa G. Mendagudli appreciated the resource person for sharing her valuable knowledge and emphasized the role of nurses in promoting awareness about skin and hair health.

A memento and certificate of appreciation were presented to Dr. Gouthami Kadlwad as a token of gratitude. The guest lecture was followed by a Free Skin & Hair Screening Camp conducted by Dr. Gouthami Kadlwad for the students and staff members, providing individual screening, guidance, and counselling on maintaining healthy skin and hair.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Shruti S, Eighth Semester B.Sc. Nursing student. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members and was coordinated by Ms. Ashwini M. under the guidance of Dr. Veerabhadrappa G. Mendagudli, Principal, BLDEA'S College of Nursing, Jamkhandi.
