Department Overview
The Child Health (Pediatric) Nursing Department trains students to care for children from infancy to adolescence, focusing on developmental screenings, immunizations, and common illness management. Students learn evidence-based practices to ensure the health and well-being of children and their families.

Objectives
The objectives of the Department of Child Health Nursing at BLDEAS College of Nursing, Jamkhandi are to:
- Prepare competent nursing professionals to provide compassionate, ethical, and holistic care to children and their families.
- Develop clinical competence in neonatal and pediatric nursing care.
- Promote evidence-based practices in child health nursing.

Laboratory Facilities
The Child Health Nursing Laboratory is equipped with pediatric cots, cradles, CPR manikins, ostomy and feeding manikins, toys, and age-appropriate teaching aids. The laboratory provides opportunities for students to practice neonatal and pediatric assessment, growth monitoring, play therapy, and essential pediatric nursing procedures before clinical exposure, under the supervision of qualified faculty.
