Community Health Nursing Clinical Posting Report Presentation

The Fifth and Seventh Semester B.Sc. Nursing students of BLDEA'S College of Nursing, Jamkhandi, presented the report of their 15-day Community Health Nursing clinical posting at Kakanwadi Village on 1st August 2026.

Inaugural Session & Dignitaries

The programme began with a welcome by Ms. Gayatri and Ms. Mahek, followed by a short video showcasing the students' community activities. The Chief Guest, Mrs. K. Baby Shalini, Associate Professor, Department of Community Health Nursing, New Royal College of Nursing, Bengaluru; Prof. S. H. Lagali, Administrative Officer, BLDE Association, Jamkhandi; and Dr. Vinayak S. Kulkarni, Assistant Professor and Research Consultant, attended as the Guests of Honour. The programme was presided over by Dr. Veerabhadrappa G. Mendagudli, Principal.

Students Present Community Activities

During the presentation, the students gave a day-wise report of their community health activities, including visits to the Primary Health Centre (PHC) and Sub-Centre, a geriatric and mental health assessment screening camp, household surveys, Anganwadi Centre, school health programmes, milk dairy, water purification plant, health education through skits, and nursing care services using community health bags. The village survey identified common health problems such as hypertension, diabetes, cataract, anaemia, and poor environmental sanitation.

Based on the survey findings, the Principal announced a Free Health Check-up Camp in collaboration with Shri B. M. Patil Medical College and Hospital, Vijayapura. The dignitaries appreciated the students' excellent presentation and encouraged them to continue serving the community with dedication. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Praveen Bajantri.
