Parent–Teacher Meeting Held at BLDEA'S College of Nursing, Jamkhandi – June 2026

BLDEA'S College of Nursing, Jamkhandi, organised a Parent–Teacher Meeting for students of the First, Third, Fifth, and Seventh Semester B.Sc. Nursing programmes on June 10, 2026.

Programme Overview

The programme was attended by Prof. S. H. Lagali, Administrative Officer, BLDE Association; Dr. Veerabhadrappa G. M., Principal of the College of Nursing; Dr. Shivakumar, Principal of the College of Pharmacy; along with faculty members, parents, and students.

In his address, Dr. Veerabhadrappa G. M. highlighted the importance of regular attendance, discipline, and academic excellence. Prof. S. H. Lagali emphasized regular attendance, academic excellence, discipline, and professional ethics in nursing education. He encouraged students to make effective use of the Parent Hospital and Taluka Hospital for gaining practical clinical experience. He also distributed textbooks to college toppers in recognition of their academic achievements.

Class-wise Interactive Sessions

During the meeting, the Class Coordinators and Sub-Coordinators from all semesters conducted interactive sessions with parents:

  • First Semester: Mr. Anil Mane (Class Coordinator) and Ms. Ashwini (Faculty Member)
  • Third Semester: Ms. Aishwarya Awati (Faculty Member)
  • Fifth Semester: Ms. Savitri Janamatti (Class Coordinator) and Ms. Samarin Awati (Faculty Member)
  • Seventh Semester: Mrs. Shivaleela Sarawad (Class Coordinator) and Ms. Shashikala Mudhol (Faculty Member)

They shared detailed information regarding students' academic performance, attendance, internal assessment scores, clinical competencies, discipline, behaviour, and overall progress. Parents actively participated in the discussions, shared valuable suggestions, and provided feedback, which was recorded for future reference.

Book Distribution & Conclusion

The meeting concluded with tea and biscuits being served to all attendees. Parents appreciated the college's efforts in organising the meeting and providing a platform for open communication and meaningful interaction regarding their children's academic and professional growth.
