Community Health Nursing Report Presentation – Mareguddi Village | BLDEA'S College of Nursing, Jamkhandi
The Final Year and Fifth Semester B.Sc. Nursing students of BLDEA'S College of Nursing, Jamkhandi, successfully presented a report on their 15-day Community Health Nursing clinical posting at Mareguddi village, Jamkhandi Taluk, on Saturday, July 19, 2025.
Inauguration & Programme Opening
The event began with a warm welcome by students Ms. Chaitra Bangalore and Ms. Ayisha Hunshayal, followed by a short video showcasing key moments from their field experience.
The programme was graced by Prof. Dr. Sheela Kaddimani, Department of Community Health Nursing, Gopala Gowda Shathaveri Memorial College of Nursing, Mysore, who attended as the Chief Guest. The session was presided over by Dr. Veerabhadrappa G. Mendagudli, Principal, BLDEA'S College of Nursing.


Student Report Presentations
During the presentation, students shared a detailed day-wise account of activities from their 15-day CHN field posting, including:
- PHC and sub-center visits
- Household surveys
- Anganwadi and school health programs
- Nutrition exhibitions
- Health education skits
- Healthy baby competitions
- Nursing care using community health bags
A special survey report highlighted the major health issues identified in Mareguddi, including anemia, malnutrition, poor sanitation, and lack of health awareness. In response, the students announced a Free Health Check-up Camp to be conducted in collaboration with the local PHC and health workers.
Community activities and observations were presented by individual students, followed by motivational addresses from the Chief Guest and the Principal.



Exhibition, Felicitation & Closing
Students presented community health models and exhibits prepared during their posting, showcasing their understanding of rural health infrastructure and community health concepts.
The Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Sheela Kaddimani, was felicitated with a memento in appreciation of her valuable guidance and presence.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Renuka, expressing gratitude to the faculty, health staff, and the residents of Mareguddi for their cooperation during the 15-day clinical posting.
