BLDEA'S College of Nursing, Jamkhandi, proudly hosted the RGUHS – Kabaddi (Men) Inter Zone & Kabaddi (Women) Single Zone Tournament cum Selection Trials 2025-26 on 19th and 20th September 2025, witnessing enthusiastic participation from 10 Men's and 8 Women's Kabaddi teams from across Karnataka.

The tournament commenced with a grand inaugural function at the Darbar Hall, BLDE Campus on September 19, 2025. The event was inaugurated by Shri R. B. Timmapur, Hon'ble Minister of Excise, Government of Karnataka. The Chief Guest was Shri Anand S. Nyamagouda, Ex-MLA, Jamkhandi, and the programme was presided over by Shri A. M. Shaha, Chairman, College Development Committee, BLDE Association.

The ceremony was graced by Prof. S. H. Lagali, Administrative Officer, BLDE Association; Dr. Veerabhadrappa G. Mendagudli, Principal, BLDEA'S College of Nursing; Shri V. Nathaniel, Sports Coordinator, RGUHS Kalaburagi Zone; and Shri I. S. Nyamagoud, Physical Director, BLDEA'S College of Nursing. The inaugural function was marked by a colourful VIP procession accompanied by folk artists, adding a festive spirit to the occasion.

The two-day tournament featured high-octane Kabaddi matches, with 10 Men's teams competing in the Inter Zone category and 8 Women's teams competing in the Single Zone category. The matches were held at the Indoor Stadium, BLDE Campus, showcasing remarkable energy, discipline, and sportsmanship from players across Karnataka.

On 20th September 2025, the Selection Trials were also conducted at the college campus, with 91 students from across Karnataka participating to earn selection for the RGUHS team.

The prize distribution function was held at the Indoor Stadium, BLDE Campus on September 20, 2025. The chief guests were Shri P. N. Patil, DY.S.P (Retd.), Former KUD Kabaddi Blue, and Shri Nagaraj Ambali, DY.S.P (Retd.), renowned Lawn Tennis & Kho-Kho player. The function was presided over by Prof. S. H. Lagali, and the stage was shared by Dr. Veerabhadrappa G. Mendagudli, Shri V. Nathaniel, and Shri I. S. Nyamagoud.

Trophies and certificates were presented to the winning teams, and the tournament was hailed as a grand success, showcasing energy, discipline, and sportsmanship among students from across Karnataka.
