On September 11, 2024, the second-semester B.Sc. Nursing students of BLDEA'S College of Nursing, Jamkhandi, organized a Nutrition Exhibition & Demonstration Programme at the Nutrition Lab. Seven student groups showcased their expertise in clinical nutrition by presenting detailed diet plans and live food demonstrations on topics ranging from diet for pregnant women and lactation to hepatic disorders and diabetes mellitus.

The programme was inaugurated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and lamp lighting by Prof. S. H. Lagali, Administrative Officer of BLDE Association, Jamkhandi; Dr. P. D. Pol, Principal of BLDEA'S Degree College, Jamkhandi; and Dr. Veerabhadrappa G. Mendagudli, Principal of BLDEA'S College of Nursing, Jamkhandi. All faculty members and students attended the exhibition and demonstration.

Seven groups of second-semester B.Sc. Nursing students set up display stalls with food items, diet charts, and informational posters. Each group wore distinct aprons and displayed prepared food samples, diet planning charts, and creative visual aids to educate on their assigned nutritional topics:

• Diet plan for pregnant women
• Diet for mineral deficiencies
• Diet for post-operative care
• Diet for hepatic disorders
• Diet during lactation
• Methods of food preservation
• Diet plan for diabetes mellitus

The Nutrition Exhibition & Demonstration Programme was evaluated by Ms. Kavita Dindawar, Assistant Professor at BLDEA'S Pharmacy College, Jamkhandi, and Ms. Tanuja Palabhavimath, Lecturer at BLDEA'S Degree College, Jamkhandi. The judges carefully examined each group's food preparation, diet planning, visual displays, and presentation quality.

After thorough evaluation, the results were announced. Prof. S. H. Lagali congratulated and appreciated all the winners and participants for their hard work and the high quality of their presentations on various diets and diet plans.
