National Youth Day 2026
BLDEA'S College of Nursing, Jamkhandi celebrated National Youth Day 2026 on 12th January 2026, commemorating the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda — a great saint, philosopher, and youth icon of India.
Programme Overview
National Youth Day is observed every year on 12th January to mark the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, whose life and teachings continue to inspire the youth of India. The event was organised with the aim of instilling values of patriotism, leadership, self-discipline, and national pride among the nursing students.
The programme commenced with an invocation and welcome by the faculty, followed by a brief on the life and philosophy of Swami Vivekananda. Students actively participated in discussions and activities that reflected upon his teachings of selfless service, strength of character, and devotion to the nation.


Principal's Address
Principal Dr. Veerabhadrappa G. Mendagudli addressed the students and emphasised the relevance of Swami Vivekananda's message in today's healthcare context. He encouraged the nursing students to imbibe the qualities of courage, compassion, and commitment — ideals central to both Swami Vivekananda's teachings and the nursing profession. He urged students to be torchbearers of health and hope in their communities.
