BLDEA'S College of Nursing, Jamkhandi organised an Intercollegiate Solo Singing Competition (Patriotic and Motivational Songs) on 8th May 2026 as part of the International Nurses Week Celebrations 2026, fostering patriotism, motivation, and musical talent among nursing students.

The competition was inaugurated with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the esteemed judges and dignitaries. Three colleges participated:

• BLDEA'S College of Nursing, Jamkhandi
• SDM Trust's Danigond College of Nursing, Terdal
• Dr. V. P. Kanakaraddi Memorial College of Nursing, Mahalingpur

The competition was judged by:

• Mr. Suresh Biradar – Associate Professor, BLDE PG Department, Jamkhandi
• Dr. Sujata Biradar – Assistant Professor, BLDEA'S Pharmacy College, Jamkhandi
• Dr. Veerabhadrappa Mendagudli – Principal, BLDEA'S College of Nursing, Jamkhandi

After evaluation, the following students were declared winners:

Prizes and certificates were distributed during the International Nurses Day Celebration held on 12th May 2026 in the presence of dignitaries.

The event was successfully coordinated by Mr. Anil Mane, PG Nursing Tutor, under the guidance of Dr. Veerabhadrappa G. Mendagudli, Principal, BLDEA'S College of Nursing, Jamkhandi.

The competition provided a vibrant platform for nursing students to express their patriotism and motivation through song, celebrating the spirit of nurses week with melody and talent.
