Visit to Anganwadi Centre, Kakanawadi
During the visit, Mrs. Neelamma Gudodagi, Anganwadi Worker, provided a comprehensive orientation on the functioning of the Anganwadi Centre. She explained the population coverage, roles and responsibilities of an Anganwadi worker, and the various health, nutrition, and welfare services offered to children, pregnant women, lactating mothers, and other beneficiaries.
The students were also informed about the daily nutrition programme, growth monitoring activities, maintenance of records and reports, immunization support services, and the implementation of the Bhagyalakshmi Scheme. The session enabled students to gain a deeper understanding of community-based child health services and the significant role of Anganwadi Centres in promoting early childhood care, nutrition, health education, and overall development.
